Mr. Jolly Holiday makes a public appearance

One would think that Mr. Jolly Holiday wasn't too happy due to the lack of a smile in this picture, but I can assure you he was, indeed, very happy today! (He just needs a little more practice taking self portraits! lol) Yes, he really did wear the Santa hat everywhere we went today. Yes, he got some looks, grins, and giggles. No, he didn't care about "the looks"!

Todays itinerary consisted of:

-A trip to Big Lots to replace a whole bunch of lights (for inside and out). Love that place! The fact that they had the cheapest lights, especially for the amount we had to buy, makes us love it even more! (We also got a bunch of other Christmas things here, too.)

-Trip to Lowe's (one of two) to look at Christmas stuff and rugs. Ended up only buying some Christmas goodies as we couldn't quite decide if we for sure wanted one of three rugs here.

-Lunch at a new place we've been wanting to try. It's called Fergies Classic Grill n Bar. We had the Combo Platter for an appetizer, which comes with chicken strips, fried mushrooms, and cheese sticks. Both of us had the Chicken n Dumpling Soup, too. Oh... my... goodness!! Best soup I've tried in a long time! We'll definitely be going there again!

-Trip to the pet store in search of Christmas goodies for Tank & Lucy.

-Trip to Target to look at Christmas stuff... and of course we bought even more Christmas goodness there!

-Trip to Wal-Mart to look at Christmas stuff... yep, we bought more Christmas goodies here, too!

-Trip to Old Navy in search of the perfect Christmas collars for Tank & Lucy (we only buy them collars from Old Navy if we can help it. They have awesome collars that always stand up to the rough wear and tear of our two... and that's saying a whole lot about the good quality of them!) We were disappointed, however, because they haven't gotten their Christmas collars in yet.

-Trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to look at rugs, curtains, and Christmas stuff. Neither of us really liked the rug selection of rugs that would match our new furniture... so, no rug or curtains bought here. We did find a really cool candle warmer that looks like a large lantern, though. It's found the perfect new home in our living room and we're both already loving it a whole bunch!

-Trip to Kirklands to look at Christmas stuff and to search for the perfect new Santa to add to our collection (we add at least one new Santa each year). We found the Santa. Didn't really buy anything else here, though.

-Another trip to Lowe's to purchase the rug we decided on... and new lamp shades to match.

-We were going to go get groceries, but decided to cross this off the list today...

-Home again! We are both so pooped after all the running around we did today!
